Arsenal FC delivered a dominant performance to defeat Fulham FC 3–0, moving six points clear at the top of the Premier League table.
A first-half blitz from Viktor Gyökeres and Bukayo Saka settled the contest early, as the Gunners showed no signs of pressure in the title race.
First-Half Dominance
Arsenal took the lead in the ninth minute when Saka, making his first start since the EFL Cup final, beat Raúl Jiménez before squaring for Gyökeres to tap home.
The hosts remained firmly in control and nearly doubled their advantage midway through the half, but Bernd Leno denied Gyökeres with a sharp save before Saka fired wide on the rebound.
A goal from Riccardo Calafiori was ruled out for offside after a VAR review, but Arsenal soon made it 2–0. Saka struck powerfully at the near post in the 40th minute following excellent hold-up play from Gyökeres.
Gyökeres then grabbed his second in first-half stoppage time, turning in a cross from Leandro Trossard to cap a clinical opening 45 minutes.
Game Management
With the match effectively won, manager Mikel Arteta rotated his squad in the second half, withdrawing key players including Saka, Gyökeres, and Declan Rice.
Arsenal almost added a fourth goal when Calafiori’s header was tipped onto the crossbar by Leno.
Key Stats and Milestones
Arsenal underlined their dominance with 18 shots and an expected goals (xG) tally of 2.97, compared to Fulham’s 0.43.
