Chelsea FC has confirmed it has parted company with Head Coach Liam Rosenior.
In an official statement, the club expressed appreciation to Rosenior and his coaching staff for their contributions, noting that he conducted himself with “the highest integrity and professionalism” following his mid-season appointment.
The club, however, stated that the decision was made due to recent results and performances falling below expected standards, despite significant objectives still remaining this season.
Chelsea also extended its best wishes to Rosenior for the future.
Calum McFarlane has been appointed Interim Head Coach and will lead the team for the remainder of the season, supported by the existing backroom staff. The club aims to secure European qualification and continue its campaign in the FA Cup.
Chelsea added that it will undertake a thorough process to appoint a permanent head coach, as part of efforts to ensure long-term stability in the role.
