Super Eagles Starting Lineup Against Benin Republic

The Nigeria Football Federation has confirmed the starting lineup for the Super Eagles’ crucial encounter against the Squirrels of Benin. Head coach Eric Chelle has named a formidable side led by midfield enforcer and captain Wilfred Ndidi, as the team aims to secure a vital result in their qualifying campaign.

Goalkeeper Stanley Nwabali starts in goal, maintaining his role as Nigeria’s trusted last line of defence. In the backline, Benjamin Fredrick and Calvin Bassey provide solidity and composure, while Zaidu Sanusi and Semi Ajayi strengthen the defensive unit with their experience and positional awareness.

In midfield, Ndidi takes charge as the anchor, ensuring balance between defence and attack. He will be supported by Alex Iwobi, who brings creativity and forward thrust, and Akor Adams, who adds energy and ball-carrying ability to the middle of the park.

On the wings, Samuel Chukwueze and Moses Simon will be expected to stretch the Beninese defence with pace and dribbling flair, while Victor Osimhen leads the line as the main striker, bringing his trademark aggression and eye for goal.

Coach Eric Chelle has also named a strong bench, with options such as Adebayo, Ekong, Arokodare, Onyeka, Onyedika, Abdullah, Obasogie, Uche, Moffi, and Olusegun ready to make an impact if called upon.

With this lineup, the Super Eagles look poised to deliver a confident and commanding performance against Benin.
